You should receive an email with a website, username and password
to login. |
| 3. Review job classifieds. |
| 4. Complete work-study
application. |
| 5. Attend UM work-study workshop. Date/Time/Location to be announced. |
Student Instructions Upon placement
Meet with work-study supervisor to set up work schedule, be trained,
etc.
Procedure if you are unable to work-what to do:
A phone call to your supervisor is required
Procedure if you need to resign your position:
Resignations MUST be put in writing to your supervisor
Procedure if you are experiencing any difficulties:
First consult with your supervisor to address the problem. If the
problem cannot be resolved or you feel uncomfortable talking
with the supervisor we require that you inform the College Work-study
Coordinator in the financial aid office so that a reassignment
can be made
Procedures for time cards and payment:
All time cards are due in the FAO before the last working day of
the month. Payment is made approximately the middle of the following
month
Conditions for termination:
If a supervisor decides on termination it must be put in writing
to the Work-study Coordinator and the student must be told why
he/she is being terminated. Termination can be for tardiness,
absenteeism, poor work habits, personality conflicts, etc.
