5th Annual Alumni & Friends
Brunch
Nearly 80 alumni and guests attended our 5th annual summer brunch at the Spot of Tea in downtown Mobile! This number was doubled from last year, and we anticipate more alumni participation in the months to come. Topics highlighted at the brunch and meeting through various speakers included: a new alumni service project, a special service for new graduates at graduation, campus news, class agent update, homecoming review, importance of annual giving, and new officers were also presented. In addition, we awarded door prizes totaling over $150 to local restaurants and businesses. Special guests included two of our graduates who also sit on the Board of Trustees for UM, Mrs. Joan Watterson '69 and Mrs. Pat Dorsett '81. Also present was the Vice President for Development, Mrs. Marty Vignes, and the Vice President for Campus Affairs, Mr. Mike Blaylock. We hope you'll join us next year, on the last Saturday of June as we celebrate our 6th annual summer brunch and meeting!
