Purpose: To further the interest and knowledge of philosophy among students; to provoke intelligent, soul-searching thought and conversation; and to encourage an all-around air of academia at the University of Mobile.

Membership is open to all students and encouraged among those majoring or minoring in Humanities, English, or Philosophy.

We sponsor:

  • Caffenine and Conversation
    Thursdays at 2:30 p.m. in Martin Hall Lobby. Students and faculty enjoy coffee or tea, snacks, and casual discussion
  • Socratic Cinema
    One Thursday a month, Martin Hall 111 at 7:00 p.m. - Movie followed by discussion or argument
  • Sporatic debates, lectures and panel discussions
