Students Perform in UM's Vocal Ensemble

This semester, the University of Mobile Center for Performing Arts has added the Chamber Singers to its group of student ensembles. The 16-voice choral ensemble performs sacred and secular material in classic and traditional music settings.

In addition to giving an annual concert and performing in church and civic settings, the Chamber Singers will showcase its talent in UM’s Christmas Spectacular on Nov. 29 at Dauphin Way Baptist Church in Mobile. They will also join the University Singers and Orchestra in a performance of the Durufle' Requiem in February.

Members of the group are Stacie Salvo, Nancy Ivey, Tyler Bewley, Jason O’Neal, Luke Veazey, Nabeel Emaish, Maeghan Laxton, Jeremy Smith, Annalisa Cloud, Carrie Morris, Ben Fowler, Deborah Harden, Philip Jewell, Stephanie Smith, Joe Hernandez and Amanda Davis.

The University of Mobile is a private university affiliated with the Alabama Baptist State Convention. Over 1,800 students are enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs in the College of Arts and Sciences, School of Business, School of Christian Studies, School of Education, School of Leadership Development and School of Nursing.
