Students Use Vocal Talent in UM's "Voices of Mobile" MOBILE, Ala.- The University of Mobile’s elite vocal ensemble VOICES of Mobile has kicked off its third season this semester. Dr. Alan Miller, assistant professor of music and senior academic fellow at the University of Mobile, is conducting the group. VOICES frequently tours with RamCorps, UM’s elite drum and bugle corps, as UM ambassadors. Members for Fall ’05 include Ashley Duncan, James Berrian, Jaime Branham, Lydia Bru, Kourtney Campbell, Kristen Constantine, Brandon Davis, Nikki Ellis, Bethany Luzader, Phil Mathis, Jamal Trimble, Aaron Williamson, Brandi Withrow, Lee Worley and Nick Yarborough. The group represents the University of Mobile Center for Performing Arts in churches, schools and civic events throughout the United States and abroad. Members of VOICES strive to follow the motto, “Honor the Lord with our Lives and Praise Him with our Voices.” Upcoming events include the UM Scholarship Banquet on Oct. 13 at the Mobile Convention Center, which will feature Newt Gingrich as keynote speaker. The ensemble will also perform at UM’s Christmas Spectacular on Nov. 29 at Dauphin Way Baptist Church in Mobile.
