on Sale Now for Tickets are now on sale for “Amahl and the Night Visitors,” a presentation of the University of Mobile Opera Workshop. The show will be presented Friday, Dec. 2 at 7 p.m and Saturday, Dec. 3 at 2 p.m. at Government Street Baptist Church in Mobile, Ala. Tickets for either showing are $15 for adult and $10 for students. Price includes dessert with Amahl and the cast in the church’s Fellowship Hall following the production. of applied music and director of vocal studies at UM. Patrick Jacobs
will be stage director. "Amahl" is an opera in one act by Gian
Carlo Menotti that tells the story of a young crippled boy named Amahl
who meets the Magi as they travel to see the infant Jesus. His life is
changed profoundly by the meeting and the circumstances that come of
it.
