December 8, 2006 UM STUDENTS SHOWCASE MUSICAL TALENT IN STRING ENSEMBLE The University of Mobile String Ensemble and String Quartet have started another performance season, featuring classic, traditional and contemporary music performed at civic, school and church events. Students in the 12-member ensemble are Michelle Hixon, Brian Hanson, Hannah Shetler, Kim Gould, Lora Belson, Leah Kathryn Mills, Gene Burrus, Alana Swindler, Duston Moore, Randy Howe, Zach Adamson and Jemelia Rainer. Quartet members are Shetler, Belson, Gould and Hixon. The University of Mobile is a private university affiliated with the Alabama Baptist State Convention. Over 1,600 students are enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs in the College of Arts and Sciences, School of Business, School of Christian Studies, School of Education, School of Nursing, Center for Performing Arts and Center for Adult Programs.
