University of Mobile Students’ Art in Mobile Arts Council Exhibit The artwork of University of Mobile students Jessica McLean of Mobile, Ala., and Crystal Teel of Elmore, Ala., has been selected to appear in the “Take 5” juried exhibit at the Mobile Arts Council located on 318 Dauphin Street. The work will be on display from April 7 until May 2 on Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. An artist reception and awards presentation is on Friday, April 11 during the LoDa ArtWalk from 6 until 9 p.m. at the Council gallery. McLean, a junior theology and art major, is a 2005 graduate of Mary G. Montgomery High School. Her selected artwork is “Interpretation of the Human Heart” in ceramic.
Teel, a freshman art major, is a 2007 graduate of Edgewood Academy. Her selected artwork is “Still Life Take 2” in charcoal.
“Take 5” art show will exhibit 39 works in a wide variety of media, including drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, ceramics and sculpture by 35 artists from local colleges and universities.
