University of Mobile Center for Performing Arts Presents Spring Finale Concert The University of Mobile Center for Performing Arts will present a grand finale concert featuring musical performances by more than 200 students. The “CPA Finale” on Sunday, April 19, will begin at 6 p.m. at First Baptist North Mobile, off I-65 at Exit 13 in Saraland, Ala. Admission is free and donations will be accepted for the Mike Blaylock Scholarship Fund at the University of Mobile. The event will be the final concert of the spring semester for the UM Center for Performing Arts, which includes more than 21 music ensembles. It is an opportunity to showcase the diverse musical styles that are taught and performed at the Christian university, including classical music presented by the Chamber Singers, modern praise and worship songs from Voices of Mobile, upbeat show choir performances by Sounds of Mobile, contemporary Christian songs by Impact, RamCorps drum and bugle corps, and much more. The Center for Performing Arts is under the direction of Roger Breland, a member of the Gospel Music Hall of Fame and founder of TRUTH, one of the first award-winning contemporary Christian recording artists.
