UM Cross Dedication

Members of the University of Mobile Board of Trustees, students, faculty and staff gathered for a brief dedicaiton ceremony April 27 for "I Am the Vine," a 12-foot metal sculpture created by UM President Dr. Mark Foley and trustee Jim Daniel, CEO of Daniel Metals Inc. of Birmingham, Ala. The rock garden surrounding the cross was designed by Mobile radiologist Dr. Bill Dumas. Daniels led prayer and VOICES of Mobile performed.

"May this structure and all it represents remind us every day on this campus that we are to serve Him and follow Him courageously," Foley said.
