Faculty Prepare for New Year

University of Mobile faculty prepared for the new 2007-08 academic year with two days of intensive workshops, faculty and departmental meetings, and opportunities to visit with one another and meet new professors. UM President Dr. Mark Foley welcomed faculty, and Dr. David Nelson, senior vice president for academic administration at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, delivered the keynote address at the opening session of the Institutional Workshop. Nelson discussed Christian world view in university education, and faculty continued to explore practical ways of integrating faith and learning during sessions throughout the day.

Students move to campus on Saturday, Aug. 11. Registration and academic advisement continue Aug. 13 and 14, with classes beginning Wednesday, Aug. 15. Classes in the Center for Adult Programs begin Monday, Aug. 13.
