University of Mobile Students Travel to Chile

University of Mobile students will travel to Chile during their Spring break for a mission trip sponsored by the University of Mobile School of Christian Studies.

Professor of Christian Studies Dr. Dale Younce and his wife Alice will lead a group of five students on the trip March 1-9. They will assist two established missionaries with their work in the city of Wallenar. Students will conduct vacation Bible schools, speak in schools that teach English as a second language, teach and preach in a local Baptist church, and prayer walk.

Younce said the purpose of the trip is to assist the missionaries in their ministry.

Students participating are Mary Carlisle of Tallassee, Ala.; Ray Colley of Wetumpka, Ala.; Andrew Desko of Prattville, Ala.; Seth Harbison of Mobile, Ala.; and Alanna Huckabee of Thomasville, Ala.

Other School of Christian Studies mission opportunities this year include trips to the Isle of Man, Ireland, Mali, Niger, Peru and Wales. The trips are open to the public as well as students.
