New Addition to
As the number of students living on campus at the University of Mobile increases, so does the need for more space. A new construction project was started in August 2008 to increase the size of the existing dining hall on the UM campus. “Ram Hall” is scheduled for completion in July 2009. Ram Hall is intended to increase the dining area and add a large gathering space for students. The 7,690 sq. ft. building has the capacity to fit over 450 people, allowing more space for large gatherings such as concerts, meeting, or general assemblies. M-Fuge, sponsored by Lifeway Christian Resources and a division of the Southern Baptist Convention, will also use Ram Hall for their praise and worship assemblies as part of their youth summer camp on campus. For more information about the new construction and renovations, contact Vicki Burgin, UM’s director of campus operations, at (251) 442-2238. By Sarah Rouss, senior, communication
