Snow Day at University of Mobile

Snowballs flew in front of The Commons during the annual Snowman Build, as 3.5 tons of the white stuff gave a wintry feel to the balmy south Alabama weather. The event celebrated the opening of The Higher Ground coffee shop and student lounge, and the start of Spring Semester 2009. The snowfall was big news in Mobile, with three local television stations and the local newspaper gathering to report on the action.
