UM Students Selected to Junaluska Singers Seven students from the University of Mobile’s Center for Performing Arts have been selected to tour with the elite Junaluska Singers this summer. Tyler Bewley, Jaime Branham, Kourtney Campbell, Nikki Ellis, Phil Mathis, Scarlette O’Hara and Jordan Squires will travel across the Southeast with the group, under the direction of Dr. Glenn Draper. The Junaluska Singers, a select group of talented musicians, provide music for the various conferences and worship services of the summer season for the Southeastern Jurisdiction of the United Methodist Church. The 16-member SATB choral group presents several full-length concerts per year at Lake Junaluska Conference Center. Their performances feature sacred music, folk tunes, gospel favorites and music from Broadway. The Junaluska Singers also tour within the Southeastern Jurisdiction and are available for out-of-town concerts during the summer. If you are interested in this group traveling to your area, please contact the SEJAC Ministry Division Office at 828-454-6795 or e-mail lnash@sejumc.org for information and fee schedules.. |
