Senior Students of UMANS and Dean of School of Nursing Honored at Luncheon Nursing students from the BSN class enjoyed fellowshipping and eating together as the seniors were honored during the University of Mobile Association of Nursing Students’ (UMANS) senior recognition luncheon on Wednesday, March 12 in the Harrigan Center located on campus. During the luncheon, seniors received a gift and were recognized. Also, Diann Carithers, associate professor of nursing, presented Dr. Elizabeth Flanagan, dean of the school of nursing, with a gift showing her appreciation for Flanagan’s nearly 30 years of dedication and service at UM. UMANS is a pre-professional organization that assists students in developing leadership skills as well as encouraging post graduation activities in professional nursing organizations. The organization participates in community service projects including blood pressure screenings and health fairs.
