University of Mobile Classic Raises $27,000 for Annual Campaign  

The 12th annual University of Mobile Classic golf tournament raised more than $27,000 for the university’s Annual Campaign, according to event organizer Marty Pittman, director of the Annual Campaign. 

“This was our most successful tournament to date,” Pittman said, thanking event sponsors Catfish Junction, Process Pump Repair Inc., and Parkway Machine & Metal Works Inc. She said funds raised through the tournament will help provide scholarships for students at the Christian university. 

Additional sponsors included Daniel Metals Inc., SJ&L Inc., G.A. West & Co., The Orthopaedic Group, and Callis Communications. 

The tournament was held at Rock Creek Golf Club in Fairhope, Ala., on April 24. 

 

Massey Chevroley

First place winners, first flight, shooting a 54 was the Massey Chevrolet Team: James Massey, Walt Massey, T.J. Jackson and Steven Helveston. 

 

P.J. Lumber

Second place first flight, shooting a 57, was the P.J. Lumber Team: Fred Wilson, Russell Kelly, Rob Kelly and Dennis McLaughlin. 

 

Barnett Millworks

First place second flight, shooting a 69, was the Barnett Millworks Team: Dan Barber, Jack Stevens, Richard Sorrell and Norm Cain. 

 

G.A. West

Second place second flight, shooting a 70, was the G.A. West Team: Gary West, Joey Turman, Jerry Lawson and Ricky Carlsen.
