    As a former high school teacher, principal and superintendent, Dr. Turner knows first-hand the challenges his students will face when they graduate. So it’s not enough that his graduates become outstanding teachers. He expects that. And more.
    He expects each UM graduate to be a person of character who knows how to think, who knows what is right, who has the courage to live and work according to his beliefs, and who has the willingness and skill to use his influence in appropriate and effective ways to change the world around him.
