Students Elected to University of Mobile Leadership Council University of Mobile announces students elected to the UM’s Honors Leadership Council for the 2007-08 school year. Each year, five sophomores are elected by University of Mobile honors students to the Honors Leadership Council. Members plan social events and special projects, and contribute to the format and content of courses and the overall direction of the program. Council members are Rebecca Griffin of Mobile, Ala.; Morgan Hall of McIntosh, Ala.; Michelle Hixon of Selma, Ala.; Jessica Story of Columbus, Ga.; and Charissa Thomas of Hoover, Ala. Honorary advisory council member is senior Shaun Wilkerson of Morris, Ala. The University of Mobile is a private university affiliated with the Alabama Baptist State Convention. Nearly 1,600 students are enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs in the College of Arts and Sciences, School of Business, School of Christian Studies, School of Education, School of Nursing, Center for Performing Arts and Center for Adult Programs.
