Homecoming Court

Homecoming Court

Queen and KingMobile, Ala. - Stephanie Barnes of Jacksonville, Fla. was elected homecoming queen and Ryan Rutter of Gulf Shores, Ala., was elected homecoming king for the 2007-2008 University of Mobile homecoming on Oct.27. The homecoming court was announced during a basketball game held at Pharr Gym on the 800-acre campus. The elected king and queen were the students with the highest votes from among the senior king and queen candidates.

Students selected for the homecoming court were nominated by their peers as “ones who personify the positive characteristics of a UM student.” The court consisted of four junior class representatives, eight senior representatives and a king and queen.

The four junior class representatives are Diana Foster of Grove Hill, Ala.; Bekah Metts of Pleasant Grove, Ala.; Blakely Prine of Mobile Ala.; and Rachel Williamson of Montgomery, Ala. In addition to Barnes and Rutter, the senior representatives are Sarah Beth Shepherd of Jacksonville, Fla.; Kourtney Campbell and Brad Cleveland, both of Mobile, Ala.; Amanda Green of Birmingham, Ala.; Alanna Huckabee of Thomasville, Ala.; Bryce Landwehr of Greenville, Ala.; Trey Taulbee of Moss Point, Miss.; and Luke Veazey of Montgomery, Ala.

The University of Mobile is a private university affiliated with the Alabama Baptist State Convention. Nearly 1,600 Students are enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs in the College of Arts and Sciences, School of Business, School of Christian Studies, School of Education, School of Nursing, Center for Performing Arts and Center for Adult Programs.
