UM Contemporary Show Choir
Announces Members

The University of Mobile’s contemporary show choir, SOUNDS of Mobile, recently started its third performance season as part of UM’s Center for Performing Arts (CPA).

Members this year include Kris Kuss, Chase Byrd, Brad Forehand, Nick Weaver, Bryan Royals, Catherine Odom, Bekah Metts, Heather Szymanski, Kalyn Pilcher and Sarah Toms.

SOUNDS of Mobile is a highly energetic, 10-voice choir directed by Dr. Al Miller, assistant professor of music and senior academic fellow at UM. The group performs pop, Broadway, jazz, disco and contemporary Christian selections.

SOUNDS performs annually on the cruise ship “Astoria,” touring Greece, Italy and Turkey as members entertain on the cruise ship at night and trace the steps of the Apostle Paul during the day. SOUNDS of Mobile also performs in many Center for Performing Arts (CPA) events including Starlight, A Night of Worship and UM’s annual Christmas Spectacular, as well as at schools, churches and civic events.
