Announces Members

Pictured left to right are RamTonz members Luke Veazey, Nick Yarborough, Jordan Van Matre and Jason O'Neal.

RamTonz, the University of Mobile barbershop quartet, has started a new season as part of UM’s Center for Performing Arts (CPA).

Members this year include Jason O’Neal, Luke Veazey, Jordan Van Matre and Nick Yarborough.

RamTonz is directed by Dr. Alan Miller, assistant professor of music and senior academic fellow at UM, and is composed of four young men who sing traditional and contemporary barbershop harmony for civic events, schools and churches.

RamTonz members perform in UM’s Starlight, the annual CPA Christmas Spectacular, and at other CPA events. The group also participates in the annual MBNA America Collegiate Barbershop Contest, competing against collegiate quartets from around the world. In 2006, RamTonz placed second in the Dixie District in this contest.
