Center for Performing Arts Presents
"Unforgettable Worship Experience"

The University of Mobile Center for Performing Arts presented what one state Baptist worship leader called "an unforgettable worship experience" during a presentation of the modern oratorio "Saviour." Nearly 200 UM students performed in the choir, as soloists, in the orchestra and as sound technicians in the concert at Dauphin Way Baptist Church in Mobile on Sept. 27.

Among the audience of more than 1,200 was Keith Hibbs, director of the Office of Worship Leadership/Church Music with the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions. Hibbs had traveled from Montgomery to see the Mobile production which included four students who had previously participated in performing groups he led.

"The chorus, orchestra and soloists under the direction of Dr. Al Miller were able to combine musical excellence and heartfelt praise into an unforgettable worship experience," Hibbs said.
