UM Ladies Fall On Road

DALLAS, Texas--- The University of Mobile women's soccer team fell short at Northwood University Monday, dropping a 3-2 decision in non-conference action. Missy Stovall put the Lady Rams on the board first with a goal in the 15th minute, but Northwood added a pair just 4:30 apart to answer. Amber England scored in the 25th minute and Helena Melin tallied a goal in the 29th minute for a 2-1 lead.

UM Wins GCAC Opener

SHREVEPORT, La-- The University of Mobile women's soccer team used Missy Stovall's hat trick to open Gulf Coast Athletic Conference play with a 3-1 win at LSU-Shreveport Sunday. Mobile (5-5-1, 1-0) will battle Northwood University in Dallas, TX in a non-conference game Monday, Oct. 12 at 3 pm. The two teams battled to a scoreless tie through the first 30 minutes of action, but then the scoreboard began to light up.

Simmons' Hat Trick Beats Reinhardt

WALESKA, Ga-- The University of Mobile women's soccer team used Brianna Simmons' hat trick to pick up a 5-1 victory at Reinhardt College Monday and halt a four-game skid. Mobile (4-5-1) returns to action at Gulf Coast Athletic Conference opponent LSU-Shreveport Saturday, Oct. 10 at 1 pm. The Lady Rams out-shot Reinhardt 26-6 and finished with a 12-2 edge in shots on goal.

No. 2 APU Beats Mobile In Final 30 Seconds

ORANGE BEACH, Ala-- The University of Mobile women's soccer team battled NAIA No. 2 Azusa Pacific to a 1-1 tie for 89:30, but fell 2-1 on a goal with 30 seconds remaining on the clock on the final day of the University of Mobile Soccer Classic at the Orange Beach Sportsplex Saturday. Azusa out-shot Mobile 32-5 in the game, but the Lady Rams put up a great fight. Mobile (3-5-1) will next play Monday, Oct. 5 at Reinhardt College at 1 pm (CST).

Lady Senators Top Lady Rams

MONTGOMERY—Alexandra Tomasdottir’s goal with 64 seconds left, gave Auburn University at Montgomery a thrilling 2-1 win over the University of Mobile in women’s soccer action. It was a match that saw the Lady Senators dominate the first half and the first five minutes of the second half, outshooting the visitors 13-3, but was unable to get a shot past Mobile goalkeeper Anna Maddox.

Mobile Blanks NCAA II Foe

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile women's soccer team handed NCAA II Nova Southeastern its first loss of the season, winning a 2-0 contest at Mobile Friday evening. The Lady Sharks were 2-0 on the season after wins over Embry-Riddle and Barry, but the Lady Rams got great defense and a pair of first-half goals for the win.

UM Women Climb In Rankings

KANSAS CITY, Mo-- The University of Mobile women's soccer team is receiving votes in the first NAIA Regular Season Women's Soccer Coaches' Top 25 Poll, released Tuesday. The Lady Rams, unranked in the preseason, received 18 votes in the poll after starting the year 2-1-1. Mobile blanked Warner Southern and Warner Pacific, and fell 2-1 to 7th-ranked Martin Methodist in overtime.

No. 5 Redhawks Top Mobile In OT

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile women's soccer team lead for 84 minutes against NAIA No. 5 Martin Methodist College Monday afternoon, but fell 2-1 in overtime to the Redhawks. Freshman Christy Lachappelle gave Mobile the lead just 11:30 into play when she beat the defense on a deep pass from sister Ashley Lachappelle and punched the ball past the goal keeper into the back of the net for the 1-0 lead. Lachappelle is now tied with Missy Stovall for the team lead with 4 goals.

Lady Rams Win 2-0

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile women's soccer team defeated visiting Warner Pacific College 2-0 Friday to improve to 2-0-1 on the season. The Lady Rams out-shot the visitors 16-5. Mobile's defense was stout all game long, led by All-American goal keeper Anna Maddox, who picked up 3 saves for the shutout victory.
