No. 15 Lady Rams Down No. 17 Wildcats 3-1

MOBILE, Ala-- The 15th-ranked University of Mobile women's soccer team opened its 2011 home slate with a 3-1 victory over 17th-ranked Indiana Wesleyan University Friday evening. Mobile (3-1-1) has won three-straight contests and will host No. 5 Martin Methodist Saturday at 5 pm. The Lady Rams dominated possession and tempo, out-shooting the visitors 25-9 and finishing with a 6-0 edge in corner kicks taken.

Three Rams Earn SSAC POW Honors

MONTGOMERY, Ala-- The University of Mobile was well-represented by the OnePath Systems SSAC Players of the Week selections for the week of Sept. 4-10. Eoin Dolan was named Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, Xavier Audergon was named Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week and Christy Lachappelle was tabbed as Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.

4-0 Lead Turns Into Double-OT Win For Lady Rams

ORANGE BEACH, Ala-- A 4-0 second-half Mobile lead turned in to a 5-4 double-overtime victory over Westminster College for the University of Mobile women's soccer team Saturday at the Orange Beach Sportsplex. Playing the role of hero for Mobile was 2010 3rd-Team NAIA All-American Christy Lachappelle. The junior took a pass from Molley Ward, juked a defender and kicked the ball into the far corner with only 1:35 left in the final overtime period.

Lady Rams Roll To 4-0 Win

ORANGE BEACH, Ala-- The 22nd-ranked UMobile women's soccer team picked up its first win of the season by blanking 19th-ranked Carroll College 4-0 on day one of the UMobile Soccer Classic at the Orange Beach Sportsplex Friday evening. Mobile (1-1-1) will play Westminster College Saturday at 7 pm to cap the tournament.

Lady Rams Fall 2-3 To Northwood

HATTIESBURG, Miss-- The 13th-ranked University of Mobile women's soccer team fell 2-3 to Northwood University in rainy conditions Saturday morning. Mobile (0-1-1) will next play Carroll College Friday, Sept. 9 at 7 pm in the UMobile Orange Beach Classic. Despite Mobile getting on the scoreboard first, via an own goal, Northwood controlled the tempo with a 16-3 edge in shots, with eight in each half.

No. 13 Lady Rams Earn Double-OT Draw To Start Season

HATTIESBURG, Miss-- The 13th-ranked University of Mobile women's soccer team opened the 2011 season by tying University of Texas-Brownsville 0-0 in double-overtime. Mobile (0-0-1) will face Northwood University Sept. 3 at 2 pm in Hattiesburg, Miss. Lorna Brownlie logged all 110 minutes in goal for Mobile, grabbing three saves in the shutout effort. Amanda Fulton and Jessica Hamer split the minutes in goal for the Scorpions, combining for six saves.

Lady Rams Picked 3rd In Powerful SSAC

Norcross, Ga. – The Lee University women’s soccer team receives national attention once again with a No. 1 preseason ranking in the NAIA Women’s Soccer Coaches’ Top 25 Poll. The Lady Flames are also selected by the coaches in the Southern States Athletic Conference to repeat as SSAC champions. Lee has claimed the last six conference titles.

Lady Rams 13th In NAIA Preseason Top 25 Poll

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile women's soccer season will begin the 2011 season ranked 13th in the NAIA Women's Soccer Coaches' Preseason Top 25 Poll released Tuesday. Mobile opens the season Aug. 25 at 6 pm against UT-Brownsville in Hattiesburg, Miss. The Lady Rams finished the 2010 season with a 13-7-1 record and advanced to the Round of 16 at the NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship.
